Strategic Planning Committee next Wednesday

Wiltshire Council’s Strategic Planning Committee is meeting next Wednesday – 1030 February 22nd – to consider the planning application by Newland Homes to build a further 18 houses on land adjacent to its 24 houses along St George’s Road.  This is planning application 22/01367 and this is what the parish council said about it last year.

Wiltshire Council planners are recommending approval because there is no 5-year housing land supply across the county and so the normal protections afforded to villages can be over-ridden.  The agenda papers are here.

A member of the parish council, together with Cllr Jonathon Seed, will attend the meeting to object to the development.  Anyone can attend, but it’s also live on the Council’s YouTube channel.
