Planning Reforms – one year on
A year ago today, the government published its Planning for the Future white paper, a blueprint for what was promised to be the biggest shake-up of the planning system since the Second World War. In the foreword to the paper, the Prime Minister vowed to ‘tear it down and start again’.
The Parish Council was critical of the white paper proposals fearing that they would result in a planning free for all. CPRE says that the “proposals still threaten local democracy, green spaces and affordable housing”.
