Neighbourhood plan update

The next stage of the neighbourhood planning process is scheduled for February 2024.  This will be a village consultation – termed Regulation (Reg) 14 – when all who live in the parish, and those businesses that operate here, will be asked for their views on that is proposed in the draft plan.  Following this, the plan will be amended to take account of comments and forwarded to Wiltshire Council for its comments.

Part of the Reg 14 process involves sending the draft plan to neighbouring parish councils and to statutory consults such as Natural England, English Heritage, and the Environment Agency.  Reg 14 has been delayed because of the need to carry out a sustainability and environment assessment (SAE) of what is proposed because land in the parish is close to protected bat colonies.
