More Affordable Homes?
CPRE – “the countryside charity” has announced that the government has withdrawn one of their proposals to change the current system that controls what gets built and where – which proposed to reduce the numbers of affordable homes built. CPRE says that:
“This new move signifies another important win for our campaign to improve the planning system. What had been proposed would have resulted in many areas seeing even fewer affordable homes being built than at present. So the change in plans will come as a relief for many communities who are already seeing particularly younger people and families being priced out of the areas they call home.”
