Semington’s last pub, the Somerset Arms, closed in 2023, but the Parish Council is supporting a campaign to re-open it.
Villagers have formed the Semington Community Benefit Society, which aims to buy and restore the historic building, which has stood in the High Street for at least 250 years. As well as a much more attractive pub, it would include a range of facilities and services for the whole community.
