Neighbourhood Plan November Update

The final report of the Examiner of the draft plan has now been received.  This will be used by Wiltshire Council to provide guidance to the Parish Council on how to prepare the plan for a parish referendum in early 2025.  The ‘pencilled in’ date is February 27th.

The Examiner commented:

“I congratulate Semington Parish Council on reaching this important stage in the preparation of the neighbourhood plan. The plan has been produced in a short period of time and has been based on a significant evidence base.  … I can confirm that my overall conclusions are that the Plan, if amended in line with my recommendations, meets all the statutory requirements including the basic conditions test and that it is appropriate, if successful at referendum, that the Plan, as amended, be made.  I am therefore delighted to recommend to Wiltshire Council that the Semington Parish Neighbourhood Plan, as modified by my recommendations, should proceed, in due course, to referendum.”
